7 Best Boutique Hotels in Cinque Terre
After spending time exploring this beautiful area and obsessively researching the most beautiful stays, these are the spots in Cinque Terre I’d book myself. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a stylish girls’ trip, or a laid-back Italian honeymoon.
La Torretta Lodge (Manarola)

This is where you stay if you want something a little more design-forward and romantic.
Set inside a converted medieval tower, La Torretta blends historic architecture with modern boutique style—think curated interiors, sea-view rooms and private terraces.
Mornings here feel slow and indulgent, with breakfast overlooking the sea, while evenings are perfect for a glass of wine after sunset. It’s intimate, stylish, and ideal for couples.
If you’re planning a romantic trip, honeymoon, or special occasion, this is easily one of the best boutique hotels in Cinque Terre.
Between the views, design, and intimate atmosphere—it just delivers that wow factor.
Hotel Porto Roca (Monterosso)

If you want a boutique stay that leans slightly toward luxury, this is it.
Built directly into the cliffs above Monterosso, Porto Roca offers panoramic sea views that honestly feel unreal. There’s a pool overlooking the coastline, sun terraces, and direct access to hiking trails.
It’s more upscale than most places in Cinque Terre—but still keeps that intimate, boutique feel.
Perfect if you want a bit more comfort without losing the charm.
Il Giardino Incantato (Monterosso)

This boutique B&B feels like a hidden garden retreat, but still in the heart of Monterosso.
With just a few rooms, it’s intimate and beautifully designed, featuring details like exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and elegant decor.
The real highlight is the garden—filled with lemon trees, flowers, and quiet corners where you can enjoy breakfast or relax after a day exploring.
It’s peaceful, romantic, and slightly tucked away from the busiest areas.
Albergo degli Amici (Monterosso)

This is a great option for a mid-range boutique option right in the heart of Monterosso’s old town.
The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the real highlight is the rooftop garden terrace—perfect for a quiet moment after a busy day.
It’s one of those reliable, well-located stays that just works.
Ca D’Andrean (Manarola)

If you’re looking for that perfect balance between comfort, charm, and location, this is one of the best boutique stays in Cinque Terre.
Tucked away in the quieter upper part of Manarola, this family-run hotel is a peaceful escape from the busy harbour below. What makes it special is the atmosphere—it’s warm, welcoming, and incredibly well cared for.
The terraced gardens are a highlight. You’ll have breakfast surrounded by lemon trees and flowers, with views stretching out toward the sea. It feels calm, almost hidden, yet you’re still just a short walk from everything.
Hotel Marina (Monterosso)

This is one of the most practical boutique stays in Cinque Terre.
Located close to both the beach and the train station, it’s perfect if you want convenience without sacrificing charm. The hotel is family-run, with a relaxed atmosphere and sea-view rooms.
It’s especially ideal if you’re planning to explore multiple villages while having a comfortable base.
Albergo Barbara (Vernazza)
This is one of the most authentic stays you can find in Cinque Terre.
Located right on Vernazza’s harbour piazza, this simple, family-run guesthouse is all about location and atmosphere. The price here is more budget friendly and it is reflected in the rooms which aren't anything out of the ordinary. But the views? Completely unforgettable.
Imagine opening your window and looking straight out over the harbor.
It’s affordable, charming, and books out months in advance.
Essential Tips for Booking Your Stay in Cinque Terre
Book months in advance
There are plenty of small and charming spots to stay in along all the five villages, but the best ones are usually booked way in advance. So if you're planning on visiting during high season (May-September), you need to book something in advance. My recommendation is as early as possible, but you will find some great spots 2-4 months ahead as well.
Request a sea view room if possible
Many of the hotels will advertise with pictures of stunning views, but that doesn't always mean that every room has an amazing view. So if this is important to you make an extra effort and ask the hotel which rooms have the best views if it's not already listed and book that one. They usually fill up first so if you want to request a sea view room, do it as soon as possible.
Pack light
When you're travelling in Italy, and Cinque Terre especially, you wont find many elevators. Yes, some hotels offer it, but most don't. In addition you can't reach most hotels with a car so you have to walk with your luggage for quite some time. Up and down hills, narrow paths and up staircases to get to your room. The best way to deal with this is to pack as light as possible.
I hope this helps you plan your upcoming adventure to Cinque Terre and Italy. If you have any questions about travel in Italy, or just want to follow along as I travel the world full time, don‘t hesitate to reach out to me on social media. I would love to connect and help out!
