14 Best Rooftop Bars & Cocktail Bars in Singapore With Incredible Views

I love a good rooftop bar, so I tried as many as possible during my time in Singapore. Some were great for a midday snack and a glass of wine, some amazing for a chill evening and some had more of a party vibe. You can really find something for every taste here. And most of them have absolutely stunning views.

After finding what I think are the best bars in Singapore, I've put together this guide to the best rooftop bars and cocktail bars in Singapore, including the famous places worth visiting at least once, as well as some of the more interesting bars to seek out if you want something beyond the usual tourist experience.

I've also included everything you need to know before visiting, including what to wear, when to go, whether you need a reservation, how much drinks cost and which bars are best for sunset, skyline views, cocktails, dates and a more relaxed night out.

The Best Rooftop Bars in Singapore

CÉ LA VI – Best Rooftop Bar in Singapore for the Iconic View

If you're going to visit one famous rooftop bar in Singapore, this is probably the one.

CÉ LA VI sits on Level 57 of Marina Bay Sands, and gives you the kind of Singapore skyline view you've probably seen all over Instagram. From up here, you can see Marina Bay, the Singapore skyline, Gardens by the Bay and the famous infinity pool below.

The bar changes quite a bit throughout the day. In the afternoon, it can be a relatively relaxed place to have a drink while enjoying the view, while sunset brings a much more social atmosphere. Later in the evening, DJs and music turn it into more of a nightlife destination.

And this is one of those places where the view really is the main attraction. It's quite expensive compared with a normal Singapore bar, but if you want that iconic rooftop experience, this is one I'd consider doing once.

This is a place you need to make a reservation for and you need to pay a minimum fee just to get in, so it might not be ideal if you’re travelling on a tight budget.

LAVO – Best for Rooftop Dining

This one is also located on Level 57 of Marina Bay Sands, but offers another way to experience the famous building without going to CÉ LA VI.

LAVO combines an Italian-American restaurant with a rooftop bar, so this is a particularly good choice if you want to make an entire evening out of your visit rather than simply stopping by for one cocktail.

The atmosphere is more sophisticated and restaurant-focused than a straight-up party bar, so it’s a good option for dinner followed by drinks. The location is also fantastic, with views across Singapore from high above Marina Bay.

I'd go around sunset if the view is your priority, but you can also visit earlier for lunch or afternoon drinks. It’s not a budget friendly option either with a minimum spend of 30 Singaporian Dollar per person, but if you want dinner with a view, it’s a nice option. Just remember to make a reservation before you come.

Spago Bar & Lounge – Best Relaxed Rooftop at Marina Bay Sands

Spago is another rooftop option at Marina Bay Sands, but the atmosphere is quite different from CÉ LA VI. The bar and lounge is the creation of chef Wolfgang Puck and has a more relaxed, elegant feel. The space combines indoor and outdoor areas with panoramic skyline views, making it a nice option if you want to enjoy the view without necessarily wanting a nightclub atmosphere.

The menu includes cocktails and simple bar food, with local and international dishes available throughout the day. This is the one I'd choose if I wanted to sit down with a glass of wine and actually have a conversation rather than spending the evening surrounded by loud music.

You need a reservation here as well if you’re not staying at the Marina bay Sands Hotel, but you don’t have to make it as far in advance as the two mentioned above.

LeVeL33 – Best Rooftop Bar in Singapore for Craft Beer

If cocktails aren't your thing, head to LeVeL33. Located on the 33rd floor of Marina Bay Financial Centre, LeVeL33 combines a rooftop bar and restaurant with its own on-site brewery.

The biggest reason to visit is the combination of craft beer and Marina Bay views. You can get testing boards with various beers they make themselves, or like me just grab a glass of wine if you’re not a beer drinker.

You get a really nice view of Marina Bay Sands from here because you're looking across the water towards it rather than standing on top of it. I came during the day time and had lunch here as well, which was really nice.

VUE – Best View of Marina Bay Sands

There's an important difference between having a view from Marina Bay Sands and having a view of Marina Bay Sands. If you want the latter, VUE is a great option.

Located at OUE Bayfront on Collyer Quay, VUE gives you a fantastic perspective across Marina Bay towards Marina Bay Sands and the surrounding skyline. The view is particularly good around sunset, when you can start to see the Singapore skyline lighting up.

This is a spot I’d head to more for dinner and drinks, not just a drink, and you need to book a table well in advance, especially during sunset hours.

Lantern – Best Rooftop Bar for a Romantic Evening

Lantern is located on the rooftop of The Fullerton Bay Hotel, right on the waterfront and is one of my personal favourite spots in Singapore.

Rather than being one of Singapore's really high rooftop bars, it’s relatively low by comparison, but you still get amazing views. You're looking directly across Marina Bay towards the skyline and the Marina Bay Sands, with the water much closer than it is from the skyscraper rooftops.

The rooftop is surrounded by greenery and framed by the hotel's infinity lap pool, creating a more intimate atmosphere than the huge sky bars. We ended up coming here multiple times because it just had such a relaxing and nice atmosphere. However, if you’re looking for dinner or a party, this is not the spot.

Mr Stork – Best Rooftop Bar for a Relaxed Atmosphere

Mr Stork is one of my favourite rooftop concepts in Singapore because it doesn't feel like you're sitting in a standard hotel bar. It’s located on Level 39 of Andaz Hotel Singapore, and it’s surrounded by greenery and has ten individual teepee-style huts where you can sit and have drinks while looking over the city. However, most people don’t really use the huts, just the cozy areas around it.

It has 360-degree views, so you're not just getting the Marina Bay skyline from one direction. You can see across different parts of central Singapore from the rooftop. The atmosphere is also much more relaxed than some of the big-name Marina Bay rooftops.

Mr Stork opens at 5 PM, which makes it ideal for sunset drinks. There is also a current happy hour from 5–7 PM which we took full advantage of.

The Otherside – Best Hidden Rooftop for Craft Beer

If you're looking for something that feels a little more hidden, check out The Otherside. It's tucked beside Maxwell Food Centre between Chinatown and Telok Ayer and combines a small rooftop setting with craft beer and natural wine.

This isn't a massive rooftop where you're going for a huge skyline panorama. The appeal is much more about the relaxed atmosphere, drinks and neighbourhood location. The beer selection rotates, and the bar focuses on independent producers and small-batch natural wines.

If you only have one or two nights in Singapore and want the best views, this is not where I would come, but if you just want somewhere chill to relax after exploring Chinatown this is perfect.

SKAI Bar

Perched on the 70th floor of Swissôtel The Stamford, SKAI Bar is one of Singapore’s highest rooftop bars and has spectacular panoramic views across Marina Bay and the city.

The floor-to-ceiling windows mean you get a great view from almost anywhere in the bar, but I’d try to arrive around sunset if you can for the best views. They have both a nice bar and a restaurant, but I never tried the food here so I can’t comment on that. It looked good though, and the drins we had were really good.

Compared to many of the others mentioned above this one does not have any outdoor areas so all views are through the window. It’s still beautiful, but if you just have one evening in Singapore this wouldn’t be my first priority. This is more a spot if you want somewhere nice to relax with a drink after sightseeing, but don’t need the best view of the skyline.

1-Altitude Coast

1-Altitude Coast Rooftop Bar is a little different from the rooftop bars around Marina Bay because it swaps the city skyline for a tropical island setting. Perched on Level 7 of The Outpost Hotel in Sentosa, it overlooks Palawan Beach and the Singapore Strait, with an infinity pool, outdoor seating, cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s particularly nice around sunset, but if you stay longer it also has views of Sentosa’s nightly fireworks.

The venue works well if you want to make an afternoon or evening of it rather than simply stopping by for one cocktail. There are poolside tables, daybeds and cabanas, while resident DJs bring more energy later in the evening.

If you’re already spending time in Sentosa, this is an easy choice for a sunset drink with a beach-club feel, but I wouldn’t head all the way out here for a drink if you weren’t already planning a day on Sentosa.

The Best Cocktail Bars in Singapore

Singapore's bar scene isn't just about rooftops. In fact, if you care more about the actual drink than the view, I'd spend at least one evening exploring the city's cocktail bars.

ATLAS – Best Bar in Singapore for the Setting

ATLAS is technically not a rooftop bar, but I couldn't write a guide to the best bars in Singapore without including it. And honestly, you don't need a rooftop here.

ATLAS is located inside Parkview Square in Bugis and is one of the most spectacular bar interiors I've ever seen. The space is inspired by the grand Art Deco lobbies of 1920s Europe and New York, with enormous columns, gold details and a massive gin tower.

The gin collection is particularly impressive, with more than 1,300 gins in the bar's collection. Even if you're not a gin drinker, the interior alone makes it worth visiting. If you like gin, ask the bartender for a recommendation based on what you normally drink. If gin isn't your thing, don't worry, there is an extensive cocktail, champagne and spirits menu as well.

This is one of the places where you should pay extra attention to the dress code. From 5 PM, ATLAS requires smart casual dress. Shorts, athletic wear, flip-flops, Birkenstocks and Crocs aren't permitted, and men need long trousers and covered shoes.

Jigger & Pony – Best Cocktail Bar in Singapore

If the drink itself is more important to you than the view, put Jigger & Pony on your Singapore itinerary. It’s located inside Amara Singapore in Tanjong Pagar, and is one of Singapore's best-known cocktail bars.

The bar's philosophy is much more about hospitality and well-made cocktails than putting you somewhere with an Instagrammable skyline. The bar was also among the Singapore venues recognised on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026 list. You don’t come here for the views, but you’ll get some amazing drinks.

Native – Best Bar for Southeast Asian Flavours

Native is one of the bars I'd recommend if you want something that feels genuinely connected to Southeast Asia. It’s located on Amoy Street, and focuses heavily on regional ingredients, producers and flavours. Rather than simply recreating classic cocktails, the bar uses its drinks to tell stories about the region and they are incredibly good at it. Go with an open mind and ask the bartender what they recommend.

Employees Only – Best for a Classic-Style Cocktail Bar

If you're after a more classic cocktail-bar experience, Employees Only feels a bit more classic, but it also has a speak-easy vibe to it. It's darker, moodier and more intimate than the huge rooftop bars, making it a good option for a later evening when you want cocktails rather than skyline photos. It can get a bit crowded, so it’s not the spot I would head to for a relaxed evening.

It's also conveniently located in the same general area as Native and Jigger & Pony, so you can build an entire cocktail evening around it and go bar-hopping.

What About Singapore Sling?

The famous cocktail was created at the Long Bar at Raffles Singapore, so if trying the original is on your bucket list, that's where I'd go.

It’s definitely more of a tourist experience than discovering a tiny neighbourhood cocktail bar, but sometimes that's part of travelling. If you want to tick the classic Singapore experience off your list, order a Singapore Sling at Raffles and then head somewhere else for your second drink. That way you get the history without spending your entire night in one place.

I went there and had a Singapore sling on my first visit to Singapore years ago and it was absolutely delicious. But I have to say that I came here on my most recent visit and ended up leaving because the price was just insane. It was clear that they knew people came for that drink specifically and upped the price. It’s fair enough, I just don’t think it was worth it and I wish I knew before I went there. So at least now you know and can decide if you think it’s worth it or not. The prices might change so check their updated menu before you visit to be sure.

What Should You Wear to a Rooftop Bar in Singapore?

This is one thing you should check before leaving your hotel. Singapore rooftop bars are generally more dressed-up than ordinary bars, particularly the luxury hotel rooftops. For most places, smart casual is a safe choice, and you should usually avoid flip-flops and shorts.

Some venues are stricter than others, so make sure to double check where you booked. For example, ATLAS has a clearly enforced dress code from 5 PM, including no shorts or slippers and covered shoes and long trousers for men, while others might let that slip during daytime.

Do You Need to Book Rooftop Bars in Singapore?

For the popular rooftops, I would absolutely book a table in advance, and try to do it as soon as you know you’re going. This is especially important if you want a good table around sunset or at night time with views. It’s not as important during the day time, but even then you might need to book at spots on top of Marina Bay Sands for instance.

You can sometimes walk into rooftop bars earlier in the afternoon or during quieter weekdays, but there's no guarantee you'll get the table you actually want. This is particularly true for places such as CÉ LA VI, but for smaller bars, walk-ins are often much easier.

How Much Do Drinks Cost in Singapore Rooftop Bars?

This is probably the biggest thing that surprises visitors, because Singapore is not a cheap city for alcohol.

At the famous rooftop bars, expect cocktails to be significantly more expensive than drinks at a neighbourhood bar. On my last visit in 2026 a cocktail at a major rooftop venue cost around S$20–40 or more.

You should also remember that Singapore prices can have 10% service charge and 9% GST added, depending on the venue and menu. This means a drink that looks reasonably priced on the menu can end up costing noticeably more when the bill arrives.

My Tips for Visiting Singapore's Rooftop Bars

Go before sunset

My biggest tip is to go before sunset. It’s usually calmer, easier to get a table and you’ll get some amazing views with the best light.

Don't choose a rooftop just because it's the highest

A 60-storey rooftop isn't automatically better than a fifth-floor bar. Sometimes the lower rooftop has a much better view because you're looking directly at the skyline. Take Lantern as an example. It’s not high, but the views and vibes are amazing.

Book the good tables

If there's a particular view you want, don't leave it to chance and make sure to book the table you want well in advance. If you’re trying to book a couple of days before, chances are they’re sold out long ago.

Check the dress code

Many of the more fancy bars have strict dress codes, especially in the evening. So make sure to double check for the one you’ve decided to visit.

Where to Stay in Singapore

Marina Bay Sands

This is without a doubt the most famous hotel in Singapore. Staying here gives you something you simply can't get anywhere else: access to the famous rooftop infinity pool. You’ll also get direct access to the shops and restaurants, while Gardens by the Bay is right next door.

This hotel has a stylish design, excellent city views and a rooftop pool and bar. Its location puts you close to Kampong Glam, Arab Street and Haji Lane while still giving you easy access to the rest of Singapore.

Mondrian Singapore Duxton

This is one of the more stylish options in the Chinatown/Tanjong Pagar area. The hotel is surrounded by heritage shophouses, restaurants and bars, while the hotel itself has a much more contemporary feel. There is an outdoor pool, a garden and stylish public spaces.

For most first-time visitors, I'd narrow it down to Marina Bay, Chinatown, Bugis/Kampong Glam or Clarke Quay. These areas give you an excellent combination of sightseeing, restaurants, public transport and things to do.

If you're travelling on a tighter budget, Little India is one of the best places to look. If shopping is the main reason you're visiting Singapore, choose Orchard Road. And if you want your Singapore trip to feel more like a resort holiday, Sentosa is the obvious choice.

I'd choose one or two rooftop bars and then spend the rest of the trip exploring Singapore's cocktail and neighbourhood bar scene.

For the iconic experience, choose CÉ LA VI.

For a view of Marina Bay Sands, try VUE or Lantern.

For a more relaxed rooftop, go to Mr Stork.

For craft beer, choose LeVeL33.

And if you're more interested in the actual drinks than the view, don't miss ATLAS, Jigger & Pony or Native.
