Roatán isn’t the cheapest place to eat, especially compared to other parts of Central America. But don’t worry, you’ll still find delicious food at every price point. After spending weeks tasting my way through West End, these are my absolute favorite places to eat.

The Best Restaurants in West End
Bariloche Grill
We weren’t even hungry when we walked into Bariloche Grill, but wow, best spontaneous decision ever. We split the shared meat platter and demolished every last bite. Everything was juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. The portions are huge, so splitting is ideal (and budget-friendly!).
Bonus: there’s a little beach bar out front with cold drinks and an epic sunset view. Perfect place to kick off the evening.

Costa Dulce
This is an adorable little ice cream shop with cute outdoor seating that overlooks the ocean. After a hot afternoon or a salty swim, this is the spot for a cool-down treat.

Ipanema
This pier-side gem is a must-visit. Ipanema serves up strong margaritas, fresh Mexican food, and stunning ocean views. We ordered tacos and margaritas, and both were excellent.

Seawiches
Craving something healthy or plant-based? Head to Seawiches. This place has creative vegan dishes, sandwiches, salads, and smoothies, and even if you’re not vegan, the food is fresh and satisfying. Plus, the ocean view from the terrace is pretty spectacular.
C Level Pizza
If you’re only going to one restaurant on West End, make it this one. C Level Pizza is a tiny, no-frills spot, but the food is incredible. You can build your own pizza and they have so much to choose from you will definitely get what you want! It’s super popular for takeaway, so don’t be surprised if you see a stream of people walking around with pizza boxes.

Beacher’s West End
Beacher’s is a bit more under the radar than the resorty Beacher’s in West Bay, but the West End location is great for fish and seafood. Everything was fresh and well-cooked, and the service was super friendly. If you’re craving shrimp, grilled fish, or coconut rice, this is the spot.

Budget friendly Street Food Recommendations in Roatan
As mentioned, Roatan isn’t the cheapest place in the world, so if you’re on a very tight back-packing budget, these street-food options might be optimal for you!

Where to Stay in Roatán, Honduras: Area Guide & Top Hotels for Every Budget
Keith’s BBQ Plate & Rotisserie Chicken
Casual local joint offering plates of meat, rice, beans, plantains for $5–6. Huge portions and lots of flavor.
Tacos Raul
Sidewalk tacos which are open until late at night. They serve Honduran style food and are relatively cheap. It’s a great spot for a late snack or post-bar bite.

Calelu’s Grocery & Smoothie Stand
They serve up cheap baleadas, ceviche, fruit smoothies, and even have adaily lunch special for around $6.
More restaurant recommendations that I didn’t have the time to test
I tried so many places on Roatan and many didn’t make this list, but below you’ll find a couple of places I wanted to try but didn’t have time for. I’m still adding them because maybe they are more up your alley.
- Anthony’s Chicken
- Loretta’s Kitchen (Calelu’s)
- Roatán Oasis
- Cafe Escondido
