How to Get to Neptune’s on Utila, Honduras - The Ultimate Beach Paradise

Neptune’s isn’t just another beach bar, it’s an island escape within an island escape. Located on the south shore of Utila and only reachable by boat, it is the perfect day trip if you’re craving chill beach vibes and fantastic snorkeling But how do you actually get to Neptune’s?

You might be wondering why I’ve decided to dedicate a complete blogpost just on how to get to Neptune’s, because in all honesty it really isn’t that hard. However, I did so much research before I went and I still ended up going to the wrong place, I was told multiple different departure times, which were mostly wrong and when I finally found the correct location I ran to the boat just to see it leave.

So, I decided that for anyone wondering how to get there I would give all the details you need to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes I did.

What is Neptune’s?

Neptune’s is a laid-back restaurant and beach club tucked away from the crowds. Think oceanfront loungers, palm trees, hammocks, and fresh seafood, plus a reef just offshore that’s perfect for snorkeling.

It’s located within Coral Beach Village, a private eco-friendly community about 10 minutes by boat from Utila Town. It’s only accessible by water, which makes it feel exclusive without being expensive.

Where does the boat to Neptunes go from?

If you Google Neptune’s you will quickly find it on Google, however it doesn’t say how to get there. For that you need to search for «Boat station - Neptunes at Coral Beach Village». This is the location where the boat operated by Neptune’s leaves from and it will take you straight to the correct place.

Don’t follow the description you get on Google maps

With the correct location above you will see where the boat leaves from, but if you follow the instructions Google maps gives you, you will end up on the other side of the water watching the boat leave and not have enough time to run around to reach it before it leaves. This is what happened to me and it was super annoying.

Walk to Chepes Beach instead

Instead of following the Google directions, just walk along the Main Street until you get to Chepes beach. This is not an option on Google maps, but trust me this is where you need to be headed. When you reach Chepes beach and look to your right you will see an arch with the name Neptune’s on it. Enter there and follow the gravel road til the end and you will be in the correct place. Now you just have to wait until the boat departs.
